English 7: After DOL/Journal, students created a bubble map describing the character Lemon Brown.  Each adjective identified on the bubble map needs text evidence from the story.  Homework:  Lemon Brown bubble map -  read AR

English 8: Students worked on peer editing rough drafts.  If this was completed, they started identifying 5 word choice changes within the rough draft (words to upgrade).  We will work on the final draft (biography) in class tomorrow, and it will be due Friday.   Homework:  - read AR

English 7: After DOL/Journal, students started the 2nd read & annotation of "The Treasure of Lemon Brown" - they were given a handout of the passage to annotate.  Assigned was completing full annotations for pg. 1-5 of the handout.  We'll complete it tomorrow.   Homework:  Annotate pg. 1-5- read AR

English 7: Students finished the first read of "The Treasure of Lemon Brown" - textbook pages 9-16.  An objective summary was written in class and turned in.   Homework:  - read AR

English 8: After DOL/journal, we finished reviewing story elements.  During the last few minutes of class, we reviewed by playing kahoot (an online quiz game) through the computers - great fun!  There will be a story elements quiz tomorrow, so students should study their notes.    Homework: study for the story elements quiz- read AR

English 7:  Students were given some time to redo their DOL quiz.  The remainder of the class was spent reviewing "The Dinner Party" short story, as well as taking notes on objective summary. Homework:  - read AR
