English 7:  After DOL/Journal, students were introduced to QAR (Question Answer Relationship).  They were given a short passage to read with 6 questions to identify 'type of QAR' (questions do not need to be answered).     Homework:  spelling 5X each - QAR passage & questions - read AR
English 8: After DOL/Journal, students were refreshed on the concept of  QAR (Question Answer Relationship).  We will be working with this over the next week.  Homework:  vocabulary categories - read AR

English 7:  After DOL/Journal, students were given a copy of their new Spelling Program as well as Monday's worksheet (with word list).  We went over the words together to clarify pronunciation & meaning.  Students will have 4 spelling items due Friday before taking the spelling test.  Homework:  spelling worksheet - read AR
English 8: After DOL/Journal, students were given a copy of their new Vocabulary Program as well as Monday's packet (with word list).  The packet is due completed tomorrow in order to discuss the words & clarify misunderstandings.  Students will have 4 vocab. items due Friday before taking the vocab. test.  Homework:  vocab. packet - read AR
