9/28/18 Happy Friday!

English 7B (block 1): After pg. 17 #1-2 was collected, students created a 'plot structure' diagram in the shape of a Flow Map.  We will continue Monday in diagramming "Lemon Brown." .  Homework:  - read AR
English 7A (block 3):  Students worked on diagramming the plot structure of the story "Lemon Brown."  We will continue Monday.  Homework:  read AR
All 8th Grade: Students completed the short story presentations and notes.  There will be a short story quiz Monday.   Homework: make sure notes are thorough for story elements quiz -  read AR

English 7B (block 1): After discussing the FLEE map and expectations for an objective summary, students wrote a final draft.  Homework: read AR
English 7A (block 3): After a DOL quiz, students finished the first read of "The Treasure of Lemon Brown" in small groups. FLEE maps were started in preparation for an objective summary.  Homework:  read AR
All 8th Grade: We discussed and practiced writing text evidence in both direct quote and paraphrase.  Students were given some time to finish working on pg. 13 #5-7.  Homework:  pg. 13 #5-7 if not turned in today - read AR

All 7th Grade: After DOL, students wrote journals about 9/11 (Patriot Day). Students received textbooks assigned to them, and we'll explore the online version tomorrow.   Homework: read AR
All 8th Grade: After DOL, students wrote journals about 9/11 (Patriot Day).  Because we had a lengthy discussion on 9/11, students were given the remainder of class to complete work on their instructional brochures.  Homework: Brochure (if not done)- cover text book - read AR
