English 7:   Students finished watching the documentary Paper Clips.  They were given time in class to complete the tree map (learned portion) and write a response to the movie.  Students worked on spelling for the remainder of the class.  Homework: Spelling synonyms & antonyms - read AR 
English 8:   After DOL/Journal, students worked in cooperative reading groups to read Anne Frank.  Assigned was Anne Frank vocabulary Section 3.  NOTES FOR THE RESEARCH REPORT ARE DUE WEDNESDAY!  Homework: Vocabulary Section 3 (synonyms & antonyms) - NOTES for research report  -read AR

English 7:  Class started with a KTWL tree map, identifying current knowledge about Anne Frank, WWII, and the Holocaust.  Students then started watching the documentary Paper Clips.   NO SPELLING THIS WEEK.    Homework: - read AR 
English 8:   8A started watching the movie Anne Frank after a short reading group session.  8B watched a bit more of the Anne Frank movie (to the point we are in the book).  The remainder of class was spent with online research looking for sources (3 due tomorrow).   NO VOCAB. THIS WEEK.   Homework: at least 3 research sources (one NOT from Internet) -read AR

English 8:     Because of testing, students were not able to attend a full 3rd block.  We read Anne Frank to pg. 60, and then we will watch part of the Anne Frank movie.  Homework: AzMerit Practice test online- research sources -read AR

English 8:     After Journal, we discussed the research paper and due dates associated with it.  Today, the parent/guardian signature was due.  Students will need to have 3 sources documented by Friday (one must NOT be from a website).  NO VOCAB.
