English 7: After Journal, students finished peer editing each others' Response to Literature essays. We discussed the difference between denotation and connotation when choosing synonyms (word choice changes) for the essay. Students used thesauri to upgrade 5 words in their essay, and then worked on the final (due tomorrow). Homework: Final Essay due tomorrow -read AR
English 8: After Journal, students were assigned an 'Alternate Ending or Alternate Point of View' for "Flowers for Algernon." This will be due tomorrow (minimum 3 journal entries - 3-5 paragraphs). Homework: Alternate Ending or POV - read AR
