All Classes:  We reviewed the week's schedule, including the schedule for FINALS.  Students reviewed items that will be on the final as well as worked in a pronoun/antecedent worksheet. 
Homework:  pronoun/antecedent worksheet - study for finals - read AR (last day to quiz this semester is Thursday)

All students spent the class period taking the Galileo ELA (English Language Arts).  We will continue testing tomorrow, as students are taking their time and doing a great job!

English 7: Students completed a DOL quiz in class.  For the remainder of the period, we worked on a Galileo prep packet.   Homework: fully annotate and answer questions for ONE passage in the Galileo packet - read AR
English 8: Students completed a DOL quiz in class.  When finished with the quiz, they worked on answering questions for the short story "The Finish of Patsy Barnes" - pg.111 #1-3.    Homework: pg. 111 #1-3 -read AR

English 7A:  After DOL/Journal (metaphor), students worked on a diagram of the house for "The Night the Bed Fell" adding characters into their location in the house. Homework: house diagram - read AR
English 7B: After DOL/Journal (metaphor), students worked on pg. 105 #2b, 4a, & 4b.    Homework: pg. 105 #2b- read AR
English 8A: Students learned about and practiced simile and metaphor.  For the remainder of the class students worked on their Galileo prep packet.   Homework: simile/metaphor worksheet -read AR

English 7A:  After DOL/Journal (simile), students worked on a tree map listing characters, house location, quirks/qualities, and text evidence for "The Night the Bed Fell."  Homework: tree map & annotate- read AR
English 7B: After DOL/Journal (simile), students worked on a diagram of the house for "The Night the Bed Fell" adding characters into their location in the house.  Homework: house diagram- read AR
English 8A: We started Galileo ELA prep instead of DOL/Journal.  For the remainder of the class students worked in pairs or small groups to do a 2nd read & annotations (given the choice of sticky notes or notes on the online book).  If not completed in class is homework.  Homework: second read & annotations of "The Finish of Patsy Barnes" -read AR
