All Classes:  After DOL/Journal, students completed both the MAZE and WPM assessments (end-semester assessment).  For the remainder of the class, students worked on detailed instructions for completing their monsters.  This is due tomorrow for peer editing.  *homework:  monster instructions (minimum of 10 instructions in complete sentences)  - read AR!

All Classes:  We finished Galileo testing (ELA), students were given time to complete A+ (3 lessons due today), and we worked on monster pictures in preparation for the Monster Exchange.  *homework:  monster picture (colored) is due Monday - read AR!

ALL English 8:  Students continued taking Galileo ELA benchmark #2 test today.  When finished, they were given time to work within the A+ program.  We discussed the Monster Exchange project that will be started tomorrow.    homework:  A+ - 3 lessons due tomorrow- read AR!

ALL English 8:  Students took Galileo ELA benchmark #2 test today, and will need some time tomorrow to complete it.  I collected Galileo practice packet 8.RI.1.    homework:  A+ - 3 lessons due by Friday - read AR!

12/8/14 - Galileo testing Math & ELA this week

ALL English 8:  We discussed the dress code within the handbook, as all classes were instructed to do this morning.  After writing in journals, students worked on A+ (adaptive vocabulary).  Three lessons (apples) will be due by Friday.  A Galileo practice packet was handed out (8.RI.1 - text evidence reading informational text) - due on Wednesday.  homework:  Galileo practice packet - close read & annotations - due Wed. - READ AR
