English 8A:  Students learned about and used idioms within journal writing.  They watched a demonstration for creating parenthetical citation & a bibliography within Microsoft Word, and then started peer editing their biographies.  We'll continue peer editing tomorrow.   homework:  10 word choice changes or additions (visible) within the rough draft
English 8B:   Students learned about and used idioms within journal writing. We discussed the organization of the biography again, and students worked on the rough draft for the remainder of the class.    homework:  rough draft due tomorrow (hand written or typed) for peer editing
English 7B:  Students were given some time to complete annotations on Rikki Tikki Tavi with their partner.  We discussed objective summary, and students wrote one about the story.  After the summary, students completed a story elements graphic organizer, as well as started a plot chart.  This is homework if not completed in class.  homework:  story elements graphic organizer and plot chart
